The album cover for my band, Future Future, was initially a school project at the Iceland Academy of the Arts in Neo-Romanticism. The project was a collaboration with Jónas Valtýsson and he photographed everything. Our exploration was in finding beauty in the most repulsive of things.

We went out of town and acquired innards from a whole pig and took it to an abandoned shack outside the city. There, equipped with surgical masks for the stench and gloves we photographed the material in various positions for several hours.

The vivid colors of the innards, as well as the translucent texture intrigued us and we were certain we had found what we were searching for, but then we resorted to one of the most classic tools for making things look even better: symmetry. To preserve some of the slimy nature of our subject matter in print, we decided to enhance the entire CD sleeve with UV-gloss varnish.
