Hello, my name is Sigurður Oddsson or Siggi Odds or Siggi Oddsson, you can choose. I was born in Reykjavík, Iceland in 1985, but spent a large part of my childhood in Vancouver, Canada. I graduated from junior college, science department in 2005 and will graduate with a B.A. degree in graphic design from the Iceland Academy of the Arts, Reykjavík, this Spring.
I like typography and designing type and illustration together, to design for print, make identities for brands, do cover art for bands or artists and art directing books and other print.
I also have a passion for music and endulge this passion in various directions, notably in
Sysselmannen and
Mínus.
I have a fetishistic longing to travel to Svalbard one day with some good, honest people - even live there for some time. I would also love to design something for Svalbard, maybe be the creative director for Pyramiden, even Longyearbyen. Some of my friends that I have talked to about this are designers also, they are:
Sveinn Davíðsson Jónas Valtýsson and
Siggi Eggertsson.
